As she waits for her lover, Mandryka, Arabella is wrapped in her airy stole with the undulating leafy design. It is worked in two identical sections, each worked from the bottom border towards the midpoint. The side borders are self-finishing. When both sections are completed, they are grafted in the centre to form an invisible join.
The pattern contains two versions of this shawl: a scarf or a full-size shawl.

- Scarf: 142 cm./56 in. long; 25 cm./10 in. wide
- Shawl: 178 cm./70 in. long; 43 cm./17 in. wide
Suggested Yarn: Fleece Artist Cashlana or other fine yarn in fingering weight or sport weight
- Scarf: 320 m./350 yds.
- Shawl: 640 m./700 yds.
Needles: 4.0 mm. (US 6) circular needle
Gauge: 19 sts and 23 rows = 10 cm./4 in. square when knit in Central Pattern stitch
