Lily of the Valley Stole pattern, by Dorothy Siemens of Fiddlesticks Knitting, is a pretty and feminine wrap, perfect for dressing up bare shoulders. The lovely Lily of the Valley lace pattern is a traditional Estonian design featuring little bobbles called "nupps", which mimic sweet sprays of flowers.
The stole is worked by knitting a lace edging from which stitches are picked up to knit the main rectangular body. The it is finished by knitting another lace edging and the stitches are cast off in the Estonian style.
