Rebecca Magazine #39 for Spring and Summer 2009.
Elegant, feminine and casual, and were already at the height of fashion in fall and winter: knit dresses in all their variations! Please leave them in your closet just a little longer because this trend will accompany you throughout the entire summer. The classics - those that were a big hit in the 60s and 70s, are now knitted just that little bit more figure-hugging, complemented by the fashion of the 50s: from coat dresses for example, puff sleeves, baby doll dresses, gathered, casual, and above all, longer skirts. This goes perfectly with that other great fashion topic this season that can, of course, be worn casually to jeans: knitted jackets. We'll show you the best look - from long cardis to capes, elegant tunics, right down to vests and boleros.
Apart from black and white, fashion is determined by the colors lilac, bold blue, coral and orange, all of which can be quite elegantly mixed with gentle powder pastels. Particularly popular this spring and summer are large-knit and airy yarns, but also ribbon yarns are gaining in importance. Fine yarns coarsely knit - we'll show you this in our lingerie look. With its delicate colors and extremely thin yarns, this fashion tend is reminiscent of delicate underwear and light lace dessous, making them superbly light for summer.
